Hot on the heels of its Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation presentation, Overview, leaders in the design and manufacture of precision sensor systems, is exhibiting at the Engineering Design Show in Coventry from the 19-20 October 2021 on stand F109.
The company will be showing its innovative and award-winning family of precision Integrated Servo Drives, which deliver outstanding pointing precision, extreme agility and silent operation. Available in various sizes, different torques and power offerings, the ultra-smooth Servotorq™ motors are suitable for many industries where cameras and other specialist sensors are required to be pointed.
Overview’s Integrated Servo Drives use advanced technology based on state-of-the-art magnetic modelling and servo control. The family of drives include Titan, Leto, Miranda, Atlas and Artemis. Each combines custom direct drive BLDC motors designs, motor drive electronics, precision servos and high-performance position encoders in a single high performance and cost-effective package, which is easy to integrate, reducing time to market for sensor motion applications.
The smallest of the family delivering a torque of .04Nm. It has a long history of proven reliability with hundreds of thousands produced.
Leto produces a torque of .09Nm by using Overview’s proprietary Servotorq technology in a compact footprint.
The Atlas provides a torque of 2Nm, making it ideal for driving heavy-duty systems.
Miranda provides precise performance in a 1Nm package, making it perfect for pointing large sensors.
Growing torque to 3Nm makes Artemis suitable for heavier payloads. The addition of updated Servotorq II technology improves the servo performance for the most demanding applications.
Overview’s R&D team focuses on new and innovative technologies to develop advanced, highly agile and unique integrated drive solutions to a commercial price point.
The company leads UK and international collaborative research programmes with academic and industrial partners to ensure that customers benefit from emerging technologies. As well as servo motors, Overview makes customised, autonomous and highly agile sensor platforms. Autonomy enables the sensor platforms to operate without a human in the loop, using powerful edge processing and AI to detect, classify and track targets, providing actionable digital information and analytics to users rather than traditional raw data such as full motion video.
