For the first time Overview attended this year’s Security Essen show. Held between 25 & 28 September in Essen, Germany, the show was an excellent opportunity to showcase the company’s new and existing products to the European surveillance market.
Overview’s stand display focussed on the new Hydra ruggedised, external PTZ camera, which combines aesthetic design with high quality direct-drive mechatronics for ultra-smooth and precise pan, tilt and zoom control. Several variants of Hydra were on display, including an eye-catching ‘transparent’ model – a fully-working life-size unit manufactured with a transparent acrylic enclosure. This showed the inner workings of the intelligent direct drive mechanism and camera platform and was an ideal way to demonstrate how compact, silent, high-torque iBLDC motors are integrated into a PTZ platform.
Keen interest was shown in Overview’s intelligent brushless DC (iBLDC) motor range, which now includes Atlas, the latest member of the iBLDC motor family. Based on the hugely successful Titan motor technology and utilising Overview’s Servotorq™ technology, Atlas provides approximately 60 times the operating torque of the original Titan motor, whilst retaining precision and ultra-smooth motion. Atlas is used to power all variants of the Hydra platform.
The show was a great success for the company and together with IFSEC; Security Essen will now be a key exhibition for Overview in the future.
